Les ingénieurs de l’université de ville d’Osaka ont récemment exposé un petit poisson robotisé qui est fait pour fonctionner avec une
petite pile à combustible. La pile à combustible du poisson, conçue par l’université, est une pile à combustible solide-polymérique cylindrique.
Un déclencheur magnétique est attaché à une articulation du poisson, le propulsant en avant.
Pour changer des directions le poisson a un petit poids qui peut changer de place influençant ainsi le centre de gravité.
La pile à combustible utilise le peroxyde d’hydrogène pour fournir l’oxygène même sous l’eau. Les chercheurs espèrent voir le poisson
nager continuellement pendant trois jours. Il pourrait un jour utiliser dans le sauvetage marin ou peu être l’espionnage ….

Engineers at osaka city university recently exhibited a small robotic fish that is powered by an equally
small fuel cell. the fish’s fuel cell, designed by the university, is a ‘cylindrical solid-polymer fuel cell
called power tube’. a magnetic actuator is attached to the fish’s one joint, propelling it forward.
to change directions the fish has a small weight which shifts around to change the center of gravity.
the fuel cell uses hydrogen peroxide to supply oxygen even under water. the researchers hope the fish
will be able to swim continuously for up to three days. it could one day be put to use in marine rescue
and survey missions with the addition of a camera.
